Departments

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar National Memorial, Mahad has various sections which highlights the life of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and propagates his thoughts. These departments include museum, library, theater, canteen, swimming pool, security department, divisional office, electrical substation, lift and fire fighting system.

Museum
The object museum at the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar National Memorial, Mahad has photographs of various objects used by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar since his birth and there is a wooden replica of the Diksha Bhoomi in Nagpur. The museum is 64 X 64 i.e. 4096 sq.ft. There is an idol of Tathagata Gautama Buddha brought from Thailand.

Library
Bharat Ratna Dr. The library at Babasaheb Ambedkar National Memorial, Mahad is rich in various books and today the library has a collection of 15988 books. There are various bibliographies on many subjects of research and for that there are 15 different sections in the library. Library is 64X64 i.e. 4096 Sq.ft. Various sections of the library are:

Theater
Bharat Ratna Dr. The theater at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar National Memorial, Mahad is spacious and has a seating capacity of 1019. Various programs based on social awareness are held in this theater. The theater is fully air-conditioned and has excellent light and sound systems.

Canteen
Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Rashtriya Sparka, Mahad canteen has been arranged to arrange tea and water for the guests mainly coming to the rest room. We can also arrange food for up to 250 people at a time.

Swimming Pool
Bharat Ratna Dr. The swimming pool at Babasaheb Ambedkar National Memorial, Mahad has been created as a recreation for the trainees coming to do research.

Security Guard Cabin
10 security guards have been appointed from Raigad Security Board Panvel for the security of the monument and security is provided to the monument in 3 shifts in which three security guards are on duty namely Main Gate, B.Post, C.Post and First, They are divided into second and night shifts.

Miscellaneous Office
Bharat Ratna Dr. At Babasaheb Ambedkar National Memorial, Mahad, there are various departmental offices like library office, swimming pool office, each department has an office.

Air Conditioned Room
Bharat Ratna Dr. The theater at Babasaheb Ambedkar National Memorial, Mahad is spacious and has a seating capacity of 1019 spectators and the entire theater is air-conditioned.

Substation (Electrical Department)
In the premises of the memorial M. ECB The sub station electricity department has the facility of transformer from where electricity is supplied to all the departments.

Excavation Room (Lift)
Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar National Memorial, Mahad has the facility of lift (elevator) but it is closed due to the flood in 2005.

Fire Extinguishing System
Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar National Memorial, Mahad has the facility of fire extinguishing system but it is closed due to the floodin 2005.
