Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar National Memorial Bhoomipujan was held on Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti on 14th April 1998 by Hon'ble Chief Minister Manohar Joshi. Also, the inauguration ceremony of this building was completed on 10th August 2004 by the auspicious hand of Hon'ble Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. The inauguration ceremony of the library was concluded on 27 March 2011 with the grace of Mr. Shivaji Rao Moghe.
